September 2012 Update

Zhongwei City Yongkang Yanggou Yu-Lang Hope Elementary School

Date of Visit: September 20, 2012

Purpose of Visit: Revisit

Grades: K-6 (8 classes total)

The new school building has been in use since its completion in 2011; however, the insulation from some of the classroom window ledges are already damaged and are exposed. It could be due to bad construction quality or lack of care from students. We’ve already asked the school district director to look into it. The principal proposed some future campus improvement ideas (influenced by the above window issue). The new building funded by TDF is already starting to look old even though it’s only been in use for a year. More effort is needed to keep the campus clean and in good condition.
